Jermand Hagan

Mr. Jermand Hagan is a well-rounded, 30-year Technology executive with poise and presence. His core specializations include leadership, technology risk, information security, cloud governance, business resiliency, audit and technology compliance. Mr. Hagan’s career has led him around the world with hands-on experience ranging from desktop installations to large scale ERP implementations from a graduate hire through leadership roles. Currently, Mr. Hagan is leading 2 Fifth Consulting. A consulting firm focused on bringing sound technology advice and implementation services to businesses across the US. Prior to founding 2 Fifth Consulting, Mr. Hagan was a Director in the Regulatory Affairs department of Freddie Mac. Mr. Hagan managed regulatory interactions with Board Committee members and senior leadership for the Technology, Finance, Enterprise Project, and Resiliency offices during the company’s challenging time in conservatorship. During his tenure, he became the acting head of the Regulatory Affairs department, maintaining leadership continuity and encouraging change. Mr. Hagan also successfully transformed the relationship between the company’s primary regulator and management by fostering transparency, while providing strategic advice to leadership regarding safety and soundness matters, all while managing tense examiner interactions with a calm and professional demeanor. Mr. Hagan has also led the Technology Compliance sector at TIAA. As the founder of the Technology Compliance sector, Mr. Hagan developed and led a team of Compliance professionals toward providing a holistic second line of defense; ensuring adherence with internal policy, legal and regulatory expectations of the OTS, OCC, SEC, FINRA and insurance regulators of all 50 states. In addition, Mr. Hagan also managed E-discovery related matters, technology policy, and procedure development, offshore / M&A due diligence as well as the $6 million technology development budget for the overall Compliance department. Mr. Hagan has also held a number of audit, risk and information security positions at Coopers and Lybrand (PWC,) Citigroup, Societe Generale, AXA (Equitable,) Johnson and Johnson, Philip Morris and held a US Secret Security Clearance.
